Sunday, June 6th 2010, 16:23hr: The live leaderboard is updated with all the times. Top Five Teams in the Premiere Coed were in order from first to fifth: Untamed New England, Running Free, Clinque du Pied Equilibre, Milton Basement Racers, Team Spirit. The awards ceremony has been completed and Untamed has taken the Beaver Trophy home. They have been put in charge of naming the Beaver. A large majority of participants are voting for Bob the Beaver. If you have other ideas I am sure Untamed New England would appreciated any input.
Sunday, June 6th 2010, 16:06hr: All teams are doing great and have all returned in one piece. Here is a recap of the Unranked and DNF teams: Bugs in Teeth lost Mike Simpson to an ankle injury near CP4. The remaining team members continued but later dropped out due to being way to cold to continue. NaturalSelectionAR.com Nick Russon sustained a dislocated shoulder and the team continued to finish the race. The Shed Coffee Bar's Bill Trayling fell on glass, requiring stitches in his knee. Remaining team members continued to finish the race. Adrenaline Rush members Dan and Adam finished the race after loosing Susan and Mark due to the cold around CP14. Similarly, Raidpulse.com, Alex and John pushed to the end, leaving Natalie and John between CP13 & 14 to get a ride to HQ. Peirluc Seguin of GDB pulled out of the race due to illness. The rest of GDB pulled out later new to the cold. Infiterra Sports, Running Free/Breathe Magazine, Lather, Rinse, Repeat, Kinetic Konnection, Caledon Crushers, Stubborn Sloths and Hyper-Active all pulled off the course due to being really cold on the race course. Weather was a factor in this race for sure.
Sunday, June 6th 2010, 13:37hr: The last two teams, Raidpulse.com and Team Spirit have ridden into the finish line. The DNF teams and team members that dropped out have been driven to HQ. Getting ready for the arwards ceremony.
Sunday, June 6th 2010, 12:52hr: The remaining team members of NaturalSelectionAR.com and Adrenaline Rush have just rode into the now dry finish line smiling. Always a great sign after a race. According to the Mallory's "It was a great race. You just had to be prepared."
Sunday, June 6th 2010, 12:09hr: Ursula Tracz of team GDB just arrived into HQ beaming, wearing a borrowed dry lumberjack shirt, and says to RD Bob, "That was the most awesome race. Especially the mountain bike section. I only wish we were out there longer. I'll definitely be back next year." To the medics, "They saved my life, literally." And now she is writing them a thank you note.
Sunday, June 6th 2010 11:17hr: The Wetter the Better has arrived at the finish line. They are warming up with some hot chocolate. They certainly picked the right name for this race. Although it does look like the rain as cleared. Just in time.

Sunday, June 6th 2010, 09:39hr: The weather is starting to play havoc on the race course, with many teams calling in with some very cold team members. These teams are all getting picked-up and making there way to the chalet which has a blazing fire.
Sunday, June 6th 2010, 08:00hr: Kinetic Konnection has arrived to the bike transition, everyone is doing great, but only 2 team mates will be getting on their bikes. John Olafson is getting a ride to HQ.
Sunday, June 6th 2010, 07:38hr: Looks as though the mountain bike section is wreaking havoc on some teams, as it is taking a while for the next teams to get to the finish.
Sunday, June 6th 2010, 07:12hr: Running Free has arrived at the finish line. According to Denise, "It's a classic Bob Miller race course." I guess that means it didn't disappoint. Superb!

Sunday, June 6th 2010, 06:08hr: Untamed New England is the first team to arrive at the wet and wild finish line. Nicky says "Bob told us we destroyed the course, but I say it destroyed me." Awesome job guys!!!

Sunday, June 6th 2010, 05:48hr: Bugs in Teeth have finished the trek and have decided not to continue on the bike leg. They are getting a drive back to the cottage for a rest. Hyper-Active has also transitioned to the bike, but is riding along the road straight to the finish (CP15).
Sunday, June 6th 2010, 05:24hr: The sun may finally be rising, but there is no warmth coming to greet our teams as the rain has started.
Sunday, June 6th 2010, 05:13hr: Pierluc Seguin has pulled himself off the race course. He has a an injury that does not need medical attention, but has decided not to continue. Team GDB will continue as a Coed-3 team on the mountain bike leg.
Sunday, June 6th 2010, 05:09hr: Lather, Rinse, Repeat have come into CP8/TA3 after skipping CP6 & 7 and have decided to pull themselves out of the race. They are being driven back to there cottages and are doing well, they just need a much needed rest. I am sure we will see them at the awards ceremony later today. As the team spoke to Bob Miller, Wayne said "We have done the death march." Have a good rest guys, you did great!!!
Sunday, June 6th 2010, 04:34hr: The winds are really picking up out there. Teams are getting really cold, hopefully the sun comes up soon. Team Spirit and Raidpulse.com have finished the trek and heading out on the bikes.
Sunday, June 6th 2010, 03:32hr: We are finally starting to get reports of more teams coming off the trek and onto their bikes, 3 hours behind the top 5 teams. NaturalSelectionAr.com, now a 3 person team is the first of these to reach TA3.
Sunday, June 6th 2010, 02:49hr: The final teams, Stubborn Sloths and RunningFree/Breathe Magazine trekked in and out of CP6 in the wee hours today and are on there way to the last transition. Winds are high and getting really chilly out there, but no rain yet.
Sunday, June 6th 2010, 00:34hr: HQ is taking a catnap and will be back on with all the updates in a couple of hours.
Sunday, June 6th 2010, 24:00hr: After a much needed rest from a long paddle/portage Lather, Rinse, Repeat left TA2 deciding to bypass CP6 & 7 and short coursing it to CP8/TA3 to get a jump on the bikes.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 23:40hr: The race is on for second place going into the overnight mountain bike leg. The Shed Coffee Bar (team of 3), Running Free and Clinique du Pied Equilibre are all on now out on their bikes.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 22:50hr: Hooray!!!! All teams are off the paddle. Lather, Rinse, Repeat are in TA2 getting ready to head out on the second trek leg. In a turn of events Untamed New England is currently changing the first flat tire of the mountain bike leg. Stay tuned to see if this allows another team to pass them.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 22:28hr: Untamed New England still in the lead, have finished the trek and heading out on their mountain bikes with these words, "We trekked, we trekked our canoes, we trekked again, are we going to trek our bikes?"
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 21:51hr: Lather, Rinse, Repeat is the only team remaining on the paddle, but they are really close. Untamed New England is still in the lead after CP6, with Clinique du Pied Equilibre, Running Free, The Shed Coffee Bar and Milton Basement Racers right behind. It's going to be a fun night.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 21:10hr: Not only are there Adventure Racing animals out there, but we have spottings of deers, moose, fox and even a bear.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 21:02hr: Kinetic Konnection finished the paddle but left TA2 with only 3 team members. Andrew Pula has pulled himself out of the race and heading to the chalet. Everyone is doing well.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 20:28hr: The delinquent spot tracker has been recovered thanks to a friendly local. Hopefully at anther CP we can get it back to GDB. Still waiting on teams Lather, Rinse, Repeat, RunningFree/Breathe Magazine and Stubborn Sloths to finish the paddle.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 19:40hr: The weather so far has been cooperating with us all day, with only a brief rain shower in the afternoon. Now with the last few hours of sunlight upon us the clouds have lifted and the sun is shining brighly. More than half the teams of lef their paddles and have started on the second trek leg, and a couple more teams have made through to CP6. Check the Live Leaderboard above to get full ranking details.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 16:54hr: Team GDB dropped their spot tracker at around 16:44hr before CP4. According to the spot tracker it has been picked up and being driving down the highway. RD Bob Miller is determined to find that tracker.
Saturday, June 5th, 2010, 18:32hr: Untamed New England's spot tracker is now working and are keeping there lead being the first team in and out of CP6. Adrenaline Rush has finished the paddle and is out of TA2, starting the second trek leg. A couple of teams are taking there time at transition. And you may notice a few are portaging in circles out there.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 18:22hr: Running Free and the 3 remaining team members of The Shed Coffee Bar finished the paddle and left TA2 at the same time while Bill Trayling sits in HQ and has finally found his voice. Nick Russon is here as well and is looking really good.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 18:00hr: Bugs in Teeth are now off the paddle and the remaining two teammates are on the second trek leg. I just saw Mike come into HQ and is hobbling but in good spirits. Took a spectator map and headed to greet his team on the course.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 17:30hr: Clinique du Peid Equilibre is through CP5 and out of TA2 trekking away. Untamed New England's spot tracker has paused momentarily we hope the system will have them back up on the live tracker soon.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 17:13hr: Untamed New England is the first team off the paddle and heading into the second trek leg.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 16:37hr: Team Bugs in Teeth are now moving on to CP5 unranked bypassing CP4, after teammate Mike Simpson sprained his ankle and decided to drop out. After trying to move on Mike decided it was just too much. Good job Mike. He is doing fine now, but will be watching the rest of the race online.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 16:35hr: Bill Trayling took a nasty fall on some glass at the first put in after TA1. He is all stitched up and the rest of his team has continued.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 16:30hr: Nick Russon from NaturalSelectionAR.com has dropped out of the race with a dislocated shoulder that happened around TA1. He is at the hospital and being taken care of the rest of team has continuned on.

Saturday, June 5th 2010, 13:01hr: Woohoo! All teams are on the water paddling. Well, with 10km out of 36km of paddling being portaging we shall see how much paddling they do and what they have to to say about it. The next 2 paddle CPs are unmanned so follow the live tracker for updates. Currently it looks like Milton Basement Racers and Untamed New England have passed CP2 and heading to CP3.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 12:25hr: NaturalSelectionAR.com have arrived at CP2, unfortunately one team has dropped out of the race. Everyone is being taken care of and the rest of the team has transitioned to the paddle section and racing on as a Coed-3 team. We are only waiting for 2 more teams to finish the first trek leg and start paddling.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 10:56hr: Minutes after leaving TA1 The Shed Coffee Shop returned with an injury. Everyone is being taken care of and the rest of team is continuing to race as a Coed-3 team.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 10:50hr: Team Spirit has arrived at CP1. If you take a look at the Live Tracking you can see they took a little scenic detour. Can't wait to hear what that was all about. All teams safe and through CP1 and on there way to CP2. Milton Basement Racers, The Shed Coffee Shop, Infiterra Sports, Caledon Crushers and Clinque du Peid Equilibre have reached CP2 and have already transitions through TA1 heading off on the paddle.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 10:11hr: Stubborn Sloths and Bugs in Teeth have come through CP1. Untamed New England and Adrenaline Rush arrived at CP2 together. Where Untamed New England transitioned from trekking to paddling at TA1 just 5 minutes ahead of Adrenaline Rush.

Saturday, June 5th 2010, 09:06hr: The first team to check into CP1 is Adrenaline Rush. Followed close behind we have Untamed New England, The Shed Coffee Bar, Milton Basement Racers, Running Free, Infiterra Sports and NaturalSelectionAR.com.
Satuday, June 5th 2010, 08:00hr: The race has begun. With bellies full of pancakes, races were bused from Sir Sam's to Poker Lakes Parking Lot. The live spot checks were turned on so you can watch the teams move through the course. Minutes before 8a.m. Bob Miller announced the start of the race and in typical adventure racing fashion the teams started the first trek leg running in 4 different directions. Check out the live leaderboard and the spot tracks to see which direction prooved the fastest.
Saturday, June 5th 2010, 05:50hr: After about 3 hours of rain last once everyone got to sleep, the trails are now fabulously muddy. The perfect conditions for adventure racing. Racers are now busy chatting in the dining hall of Sir Sam's, while the smell of pancakes waft in the air. Just over two hours from the start.
Friday, June 4th 2010, 22:17hr: First nights pictures are up. Check them out. Most racers have left to get some shut eye or stare at their maps longer and strategizes. Volunteers have headed to bed in anticipation of an earlier morning start.
Friday, June 4th 2010, 21:14hr: Race Director Bob Miller has just finished the race briefing. No major questions and the biggest excitement came when he showed the wooden carved beaver that will be the trophy to one lucky team on Sunday. Now the teams are free to check the maps and take a short nap.
