We asked our teams what advice they would give new racers, and these are some of their answers:
Stay positive and keep moving forward.
Trust your compass.
Slow down and enjoy the time!
If you think you have gone far enough, or too far... keep going. You have not gone far enough.
Stay fueled and found.
Know your body, take care of your body. Know your team, take care of your team.
Don't move faster than you can navigate.
When you think you’re 100% screwed, you’re really only probably 40% screwed
If you feel like giving up overnight, wait until the sun comes up. That changes everything!
Remember you are a team for a reason.
Eat real food, prepare for the inevitable, accept the unknowns.
Prepare to be uncomfortable mentally and physically. It WILL happen and it's difficult to train for.
Just keep moving! This is essentially a "Don't Quit" competition.
Don’t miss out anymore. Give it a try. You’re more capable than you think.
