RaidPulse - Never Give Up. Never Surrender.
If you've been following on, you might be wondering why RaidPulse didn't get posted as 3rd place and now they're showing as DQ (disqualified). So what happened?!? The team had to pull out their sealed cell phone to get themselves back on track after an unplanned detour on the bike left them in the lurch. This is the same area of the bike leg that has seen many racers heading off in an unexpected (and not correct) direction.
But that's not really the story. This is a story of 'Never give up. Never surrender' (to quote Galaxy Quest - watch it, it's pretty great) for this veteran team. These folks embody so much of what AR is. We've watched them take risks on routes throughout the race - some worked in their favour, some... a little less so, but we watched them pull back to the front of the race. Every. Damn. Time. Even after having to crack their phone, they raced their butts off into the finish knowing they were coming in to be DQ'd. If that isn't true grit and a spirit of adventure, I don't know what is.
