This first-time team is made up of long-time friends Tom and Alistair rounded out by Chris who answered the “teammate wanted” call on Strava. As they head into the backcountry, their driving mantra will be efficiency as they test their fitness levels and team synergies with their navigation abilities, keeping cool on this warm day, and staying sharp through the night. They’ll manage energy levels by leaning towards the junk food end of the food spectrum with beef jerky, banana gummies, ketchup chips and coke. Their end goal is to finish the full course by the cutoff time.
